Overview

Incumbent is required to successfully complete entry level TGA regulatory training pursuant to Tribal, Federal, State and TGA Regulations. Under the general supervision of the Lead Inspector and/or Regulatory Manager, monitors gaming operations for compliance with all requirements of the Tribal Ordinance, National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), Tribal Internal Control Systems (TICS) and Tribal State Compact. Conducts compliance checklists, monitor all gaming activities and coordinates investigative duties and reports. Majority of assigned shift shall require presence on the gaming floor and the position will require being able to work on all shifts, on all days of the week.

Responsibilities

  • Primary duty consists of the performance of office or non manual work directly related to the general business operation of the TGA Department.
  • Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in matters of significance as they pertain to the operations of the TGA Department.
  • Essential duties are to provide support to the Lead Inspector in the operation, function and supervision of the TGA Inspector Department.
  • Monitors gaming activities to prevent cheating and fraud.
  • Reports observed or detected irregularities in any departments. Prepares and makes special inspections as needed.
  • Monitors money transfers and cash drop procedures.
  • Performs unannounced surveillance and monitoring, visits continuously during shift to all public and secured areas of the casino.
  • Assist in the verification of all wide area progressive jackpot wins and whenever applicable, physically present for jackpot payouts and machine verifications for an amount determined.
  • Monitors log sheets and incident reports.
  • Observes and documents gaming machine logic board access, and verifies compliance for all gaming software prior to installation.
  • Observes gaming software changes and prepares appropriate documentation for the changes.
  • Monitors Casino for any physical hazards or acts/omissions that would jeopardize the safety of patrons and employees.
  • Will determine when appropriate to complete Informal Deviation Reports or Incident Reports which is a record of serious violations to the Compact, Ordinance or Internal Controls.
  • Will strive to be proficiently trained/or in training and break whenever possible Surveillance personnel to meet the minimum requirements for the Tribal Internal Control Standards.
  • Whenever necessary, attend meetings and seminars to obtain information and knowledge useful in performing essential duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • To qualify for this position, an individual must possess a high school diploma or equivalent of and have at least one to three years experience in the casino industry. Knowledge of Tribal, Federal and State regulations and standards are required.

Pay range: $55,400 to $72,000 per year

 

*Shift Differential: Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.
