The Payroll Tech compiles payroll data and maintains payroll processing records in the Timekeeping and HRIS/Payroll Software Systems while following company policies and government regulations that directly affect payroll procedures.
• Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.
• Inputs information pertaining to hours worked, deductions, paid time off, benefits, gratuities and direct deposits into the HRIS/Payroll system in a timely and accurate manner.
• Reviews and processes payroll adjustments.
• Assists with pay period end, month end, quarter end and year end payroll functions including account and payroll tax reconciliation and reporting.
• Researches and responds, in a timely manner, to questions related to Payroll transactions.
• Interacts with employees and all levels of management with respect to payroll wages, gratuities, garnishments, deductions, checks and direct deposits.
• Maintains all payroll files to meet all internal and regulatory requirements.
• Verify new employee benefit/deductions; Perform calculations to prorate new benefit deductions, verify new 401k plan participants, calculate and enter 401k loan deduction information.
• Verify new hire information entered by Human Resources entering necessary additional payroll data in the HRIS/Payroll system.
• Process/verify all wage adjustments, transfers, promotions or other job changes in the HRIS/Payroll system.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Pay range: $25.00 - $32.50 per hour
*Shift Differential: Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.
