The RV Park Supervisor is responsible for providing customer service to the public and staff, while overseeing staff and ensuring the efficient operation of the RV Park department. A large component of the position is soliciting groups and individuals sales to optimize profitability for the RV Park.
• Establishes and communicates operational standards and trains staff on proper policy and procedures.
• Evaluates customer service performance levels by monitoring response times and customer complaints.
• Knows site locations, types of sites available, and nightly rates.
• Books RV sites and monitors occupancy levels.
• Reserves sites for player events.
• Assists in blocking of sites for reservations.
• Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk/office area.
• Knows all safety and emergency procedures and is aware of accident prevention policies.
• Responsible and accountable for budget management.
• Maintain open communication and good working environment with guests, clients as well as other departments within JRCR.
• Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell sites and to promote other services of the RV Park.
• Work directly with management to develop and maintain group, conference, company meeting, and special event accounts.
• Work in conjunction with management to develop an aggressive sales action plan and meet all forecasted sales goals.
• Maintain existing accounts and develop new accounts; prepare and present proposals for all potential business accounts.
• Participate in industry related trade shows and conventions as necessary.
• Be able to identify gaming value of group business.
• Participate in development of sales materials and promotional items.
• Be able to identify all aspects of competition and be pro-active on sales accounts and competition.
• Negotiates contracts and maintains relationships with preferred vendors and clients.
• Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Reads and initials the pass-on log daily and is aware of daily activities and meetings taking place at the RV Park.
• Maintains a positive and professional attitude as well as a professional appearance at all times.
• Handles guest complaints or transgressions in a professional, courteous manner that is consistent with Company policies and procedures.
• Execution of promotional activities for Company as directed by management.
• Thoroughly understands and adheres to proper credit and cash-handling policies and procedures.
• Operation of POS/cash registers, associated sales and verification machines, and resultant cash handling.
• Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to management.
• Attend meetings, seminars and classes as required by management for business and self-improvement.
• Performs a wide range of duties as needed or requested by management, other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• A High School diploma, GED or California Proficiency is desirable. Supervisory and sales experience desired.
Pay range: $22.00 to $28.60 per hour
*Shift Differential: Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.
This is not a smoke free workplace. Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the work environment.
