The Benefits & Safety Representative maintains the company wellness program, administers the Safety and TORT programs for the company and coordinates the enrollment in benefits offered by the company to all eligible employees.
• Ensure that each guest and employee receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.
• Maintain a well-informed knowledge of the company benefit programs, vendor relationships, enrollment processes, legal changes and requirements.
• Oversee employee benefits as medical, dental, vision, disability, leave, COBRA, and retirement programs. To include; eligibility, enrollment/application, documentation, record keeping, distribution of information and employee engagement/education.
• Help employees resolve all benefit-related issues in an effective and timely manner.
• Processes Unpaid Leave in response to COVID-19; including contact tracing, leave communication with employee and management, and ensuring established COVID protocols are met.
• Participates and documents Health and Safety site inspections and response, implements proactive safety measures and determines appropriate responses to problems and emergencies. Identifies organizational safety training needs, develops, and coordinates safety-training programs.
• Facilitates Workers' Compensation related injury/illness/incident claims and first-aid reports, including post-incident investigations to determine if company safety procedures were followed; follows up as necessary.
• Coordinates medical care for employees through the Workers Compensation System; maintains workers compensation files; maintains the OSHA log/injury report;
• Supports employee health through coordination and tracking of employee vaccinations, such as TB, Hepatitis, flu and COVID-19.
• Administrates DOT and Non-DOT drug testing policy and procedures.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Minimum High School level education required, with a college degree preferred and previous Human Resources Health & Safety experience a plus.
Pay range: $26.00 to $33.80 per hour
*Shift Differential: Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.
This is not a smoke free workplace. Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the work environment.
