Overview

Assists in the monitoring and proper compliance with expected food safety standards and administers the Food & Beverage department Safety Programs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.
  • Participation in investigations of food safety concerns to include reaching out to guests.
  • Completion of worker injury/illness reports within the Food & Beverage Outlets; may assist in the investigation of reports. In addition, may be involved in the investigation of worker injury/illness reports that relate to foodbourne illnesses through-out the entire property.
  • Timely review and compliance with Indian Health Service audits.
  • Perform internal food safety audits of the outlets.
  • Develop and maintain a program for food safety certification for all Food & Beverage employees.
  • Develop and maintain various training programs to include but not limited to; responsible alcoholic beverage serving, knife skills, hand washing etc.
  • Research, develop and distribute training documents on safety related topics throughout the Food & Beverage outlets.
  • Develop and refine food safety related policies and procedures.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of MSDS binders throughout the Food & Beverage outlets.
  • Collaborates and works with the HR Health & Safety Representative when designing and establishing new safety related programs for Food & Beverage.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum education, training, and previous work experience required to perform this job:

  • Minimum High School level education with previous administrative type work experience and working knowledge of food service operations.
*Shift Differential: Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.
 

This is not a smoke free workplace.  Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the work environment.
