The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) responds to calls for medical aid throughout the Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort and communicates the need for additional emergency services support through the appropriate channels.


  • Responds to calls for medical aid throughout the Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort property
  • Assess each call situation to determine best course of action and appropriate protocol.
  • Utilize medical equipment and procedures including gurney, oxygen, airway equipment/airway bag, splints, bandages, and other procedures as required to provide basic medical care.
  • Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls.
  • Provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements.
  • Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum care.
  • Communicate with responding emergency personnel to provide critical information.
  • Communicate with patient and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given, and to show compassion.
  • Act as team leader and take responsibility for scene management as needed.
  • Keep current on certifications.
  • Communicate with dispatcher to receive and understand call data and customer feedback.
  • Monitor and maintain the general condition of the med rooms, keep them clean and stocked for optimal call response.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all outside emergency personnel and public safety personnel at all times to ensure excellent customer service and the best possible patient care.
  • Read medication/prescription labels and directions for usage in quick, accurate, and expedient manner.
  • Converse with dispatcher and EMS providers via phone or radio as to status of patient.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Will provide support to outside emergency services personnel.
  • Perform monthly fire extinguisher checks.
  • Facilitate on-going emergency services training.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


EMT’s must have a copy of the following licenses and/or certifications:

  • EMT-B or EMT-P card issued from Mountain Valley EMSA / State of California
  • American Heart Association BLS or equivalent CPR card
  • Medical examiners certificate
  • Possess a valid State Driver’s License


  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Some advanced education preferred.S ome past work experience, preferably in healthcare desired.

*Shift Differential: Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.
